Your arms perform key functions for you. Without them, holding office from day to day would be more than difficult. A bucket lifting, preparing tea, work on your computer, etc.. are some examples of work that we do on a daily basis. Do you think you can remove these simple tasks without your arms? Well, not really! Your arms are composed primarily of bones, nerves, muscles, ligaments and tendons and all are prone to injury. Also, did you know that the first sign of a heart attack is pain in the left arm? Thus, a sore arm is not something that can be taken too lightly. A break in one or a few of the many bones in your wrist can cause a painful injury. Broken wrists are a common problem. You can break your wrist doing anything. Any activity from basketball or skiing down with outstretched hand can lead to a fractured wrist. It is also easier to break a wrist when an individual suffers from osteoporosis, a condition characterized by bones thin and brittle. A wrist fracture should be fixed as soon as possible, delay in treatment can lead to unnecessary complications. An immediate and effective treatment will add to the precise alignment of broken bones. Stinger or burner is an injury that affects most sports. It occurs when your neck and head are drawn away from your shoulder. The sudden and high stretch can send a right to feel electric shock through the arm. This too can cause pain in the arm. Tendonitis, more commonly known as a tennis elbow or golfer's elbow, is caused by irritation or inflammation of the tendons. Tendons are the thick fibrous cords that connect muscle to bone. An inflammation of tendons can cause much pain in the joints. Tendinitis occurs mainly around the elbows, shoulders, wrists and heels. Less severe cases of tendonitis can be corrected by proper treatment and medications, but severe cases (ruptured tendon) tendinitis need to be corrected by surgery. A sprain can occur in any part of the body, but it is more common in and around your arms and ankles. A sprain is essentially a torn ligament and the ligaments are bands of fibrous tissue that connect one bone to another. Like most other causes of arm pain, minor sprains can be treated at home, while the serious need for surgery. The intersection syndrome is caused by rapid movements and wrist tedious. The syndrome affects the wrist and forearm, which causes pain in the arm.Kienböck's disease is characterized by stiffness, swelling and pain that can occur in your wrists. It is usually the result of an injury, which causes pain in your arm. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs in and around the palm. The carpal tunnel is a small hallway that is bound by the bones and ligaments. The syndrome is generally associated with hours and hours typing on a keyboard, but can also occur for other reasons. The carpal tunnel protects nerve and nine tendons that help bend the fingers. When you engage in activities that strain the nerve you're likely to get the syndrome characterized by numbness and pain.
