Weighted Ankle Weights

With what little time I have left before Millau and preparation truncated because of my fall, I decided to use the weights to work on my endurance and my leg muscles. - 12km in 1h10: exit test, pretty cool but painful for the legs, the next day I had body aches to the quadriceps, hamstring, shoulder and arm. - 21km in 2h: with the heat I really suffered, 0% fun, 100% of suffering is too painful to run with the weight. I am completely exhausted after my release, my legs, my arms are HS. I said: "I stop running with the weight I'm sick. After 70km, I do not ache, I took the precaution of icing my achilles tendon after each trip. I will use my weight for the next two weeks. - Backpack loaded with weights: the weights are closer to the center of gravity, shoulders and arms are less stressed. This allows to train for the trails. Overall I think the use of weights is not good for the organization long term, as already running is a sport very traumatic, add additional constraints to worsen things. @ Stef: I am not a specialist course and biomechanics. But after I felt, for endurance runners at low speed are used to balance the arm when his body short. More hard-working legs, arms, too, I think there is a correlation between the size of legs and arms (sprinter, distance runner ..). Physically arms and legs are a couple of forces, the arms may play an important role in the sprint to increase power or speed of the legs. By cons of the role is less hands on long distances, where the angle of the arm and forearm changes very little, the muscles are relaxed .. There have been several papers in journals on the role of arms. Not easy to navigate. It went to a guy - scientitique business - which found that in passing the leash of his dog behind his shoulders and holding the ends with your hands (arms while stationary), it went faster. He wrote a thesis. Otherwise, you have fun test to do: try to speed by directing the arms down for example, you will see that it's impossible. Or run slowly with arms folded up .. ok guys, the next exit I go faster, so it will not serve for the balance, I would leave the house to please a lady, to do dinner .. Gilles: mmm .. too bad for the ravito is not fair that lightens the As while it moves sandbags no weight. I see that how much weight you have the bome beintot you can worry s past hiii! good week anyway! paris is when?. Hello, K'koud: I think that training with weights is good for strengthening muscles. The weighted backpack is a good option. Courage, Millau happens!. @ Seb: I will not come as a tourist, if I align myself with the semi's to get 1:30 for the marathon I would have my doubts about the freshness (you'll see why shortly). @ Fran: thank you! The backpack is the next step, I will make a great ballad Pyrenees (in the years to come:), it will be a subject of our discussion with Cyril in Millau.
