When acquiring network hardware, and more particularly switch and routers, it quickly becomes difficult to organize them properly. Hence the usefulness of a rack mounted in a rack for ... However, whether a standard template or even if a cupboard model, prices are sometimes off-budget. There is an Ikea in the range model from the table ... especially the LACK series. This table has the distinction of having dimensions which correspond almost perfectly with the standard 19 "racks. Simply insert the material between the legs of the table and secure them ... and voila. Cisco routers 2600/2600XM series which have the disadvantage of being ventilated from below, and which therefore require to be spaced from one another. To have a little space, I decided to go on a 3 LACK side tables, as I stack, they will settle between and where I will place the sorts of barriers in order to lay the routers and them away somewhat from each other. Nothing could be easier ... a great board, 4 feet and 4 screws ... not worth to say more. At this stage it is far from the rack is not it?. A router is at almost exactly 4.5 cm in height ... so I have a spacing of 6 cm center to center between the rails. They are attached to the ends using a wood screw directly into the side of the leg. The weight of a router is not huge so it works well. Note that I have not yet determined the devices on the front legs ... this thing will be done as soon as I get the brackets in all ... it took me about 2h30 from work, being more delicate laying rails.
