Weight Lifting Benches

Weight training is a form of physical exercise to develop muscle strength and muscle size. It is a common means of resistance exercise and in turn a type of strength training, which uses the force of gravity (through records and dumbbells) that is opposed to muscle contraction. Done properly, weight training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in general health and welfare. Weight training is used in various sports, but sports that arise directly from this training are bodybuilding, weightlifting, powerlifting and strongman. Hippocrates first explained that it was weight training when he wrote "that uses this unfolds, and who do not use it is wasting his time." The progressive resistance training minimally dating of ancient Greece, legendary characters as the wrestler Milo of Croton trained carrying a newborn calf on his back every day until it grew. Another Greek physician Galen, described strength training using haleteres, an ancient form of dumbbells. Another year old instrument was the Indian club, which was created in ancient Persia. Later, around the nineteenth century these elements became popular in England and America. The barbell itself joined the bar in the late nineteenth century. The first bar had hollow globes that could be filled with sand or lead, but before the twentieth century were replaced by the current records. [1]. In the sixties began to implement the exercise machine at the gym. Weight training has increased its popularity in the 1980s, due in part to the bodybuilding film Pumping Iron and the subsequent popularity of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since the nineties the number of women increased weight training, influenced by programs like Body for Life training: currently one in five women (USA) trained with weights. [2]. As in other workouts with strength, weight training in the fundamental principle is based on repetitions and sets to perform and there are also different depending on the area exercises to develop muscle. To work in different areas, training should be divided into routines (eg chest and triceps Wednesday-and Thursday-back and biceps). This division is fine for testing muscular bodybuilders, but in other sports such as powerlifting is training more basics (the three basic exercises are the squat, bench press and deadlift. Lying on a flat bench, supported from the torso head to the hips with your knees bent and feet flat on the insured or bank to avoid arching your back. For over 20 years of Powerlifting is with us already in operation in Germany and in its present form for over 25 years as World and European origins angeboten.Seine has this variant of the strength sports in America and England experienced. 1 January 1982 and then as an official sport of powerlifting in the Federal Association of German weightlifter incorporated. In the year 2000 saw a reorganization of sports weightlifting and powerlifting. Under the umbrella of the German Federal athletes (DAB) are now the Association of German Weightlifting Association (BVDG) and the Association of German Powerlifters Association (BVDK). Powerlifting, also called power lifting, a sport is when it comes to the maximum. The Powerlifting is performed in three individual events: squat, bench press, deadlift. In all three disciplines is trying to cope with the highest possible weight of a repeat. The validity of the tests is evaluated by three judges for a particular set of rules. This framework can be found at the Federal Association of German Powerlifters. The squat, as well as the other exercises, always carried out with the barbell. The barbell is removed from stands approximately at shoulder height. It is placed behind the barbell on the shoulders / neck, and must not lower than the bar diameter (about 3 cm) are placed parallel to the highest point of the shoulders. Then the athlete walks backwards and must come to a completely quiet and stand upright. Now is the starting signal "SQUAT" or "Bend," now may only be bent. It must be bent so low to the Hüftknickpunkt is lower than the highest point of the bent knee. Now needs to be re-erected. If the athletes calm and upright, is the command "drop" and the score. Bench press barbell rests on stands, which are firmly connected with a specific bank. The athlete lies on his back on the bench and take the dumbbell with both hands and takes it with or without the help of the loaders from the racks. This must include the fingers and thumb in two different directions, the rod, because the open or the reverse grip since 1 1st prohibited 1996th Now the bar has to be kept at arms extended, until the starting signal "START" takes place. Then weight is lowered to the chest until it touches them. After the referee signal the "press" the weight is back down to the top. Then the command is to store "RACK" or "drop". The deadlift is often called the king's discipline, as it chooses as the final discipline to compete. The barbell is at the feet of lift and has to be taken with both hands. Here in more than 90% of the cross handle is applied, that is, a hand reaches from the front and one from behind the bar. Now, based on the athlete and moves it to the bar, until the whole body is stretched and the knees are pushed through. This is followed by the command "DOWN" or "drop" and the triathlon is completed.
