On 12 July during a TV interview, the President of the Republic asked: Is that volunteering is perfectly suited to the federations who handle such powerful economic interests?. A few days earlier, MP David Douillet handed him his report entitled The attractiveness of France for hosting major sporting events. Closely related to the Bill in preparation for the Ministry of Sports and competitive sports ethics, the report goes well beyond the issue of major events. It is dramatically transforming the organization of French sport and the issues center on the economic benefits to event organizers, sponsors and professional clubs. The government's objective is clearly stated. It would treat a French sport, sick of being governed by the voluntary and too competitive on the world stage! Inspired by Anglo-Saxon, the treatment would be radical: establishment of a branch of French sport instead of NSDC, recognition of general interest to sports facilities and private vendors; Restoring a Right to I'Image Collective (DIC) with the replacement of the entertainment tax, levied by local authorities, a reduced VAT rate, reform of governance of federations to which they are directed by professionals lobbying for deregulation of professional clubs, while sports associations is constrained always heavier. After the disastrous actions of the RGPP and financial disengagement of the state, it announced the end of the public service of sport!. FSGT appeals to the responsibility of the Republican movement and sports of all stakeholders. At the discourse on social cohesion and public health, the government can not simply defend the economic issues alone! The public interest must not be manipulated in favor of a minority. The access of everyone to practice sports and physical quality must remain the priority of public policy in France. Sports associations meet this interest and need, now more than ever, claim the means to best meet the needs of the population.
