Dumbbells

A dumbbell is a piece of equipment used in weight training, is a type of free weight. Can be used individually or in pairs (one in each hand). The predecessor of the barbell, which was called Nal was used in India for over a millennium and was shaped like a club. The nal was an intermediate step between a dumbbell and a barbell. It is usually used in pairs by wrestlers, bodybuilders, athletes or others who wish to increase their strength and muscle mass.
